    Press registration and accreditation for the 42nd Chess Olympiad

    Journalists from the local and foreign media representatives, interested in covering the 42nd Chess Olympiad, held in Baku in September 1st-14th, need to register to the event. The registration is open from April 15th till June 30th.

    The local journalists should provide the Organizers with the following:

    1. Their name and last name
    2. The press organization they are working for
    3. Their title
    4. A 3x4 size picture in electronic format
    5. A copy of their business card
    6. A copy of their ID card

    All the above should be sent to press@bakuchess.com by the 30th of June until 18:00. The requests will be accepted only after the demanded documents are provided. The additional information regarding the distribution of the accreditation cards will be published on the official website.
    Please, note that those journalists who didn’t register will not be able to get the accreditation.

     

    Foreign Press

    Foreign journalists should contact the Operating Committee at the address contact@bakuchess.com to request an approval for their Registration. After the confirmation of their participation, the journalists will receive a link for the official registration system, where they will be able to fill all the information needed by the Organizers.

    The Organizers will help the journalists with obtaining electronic visas for Azerbaijan. For this purpose, the journalists should upload the color scan of their passport as well as an identity picture, in color, on the white background, in the system. The additional Visa information file, should be filled either directly in the system, or sent to visas@bakuchess.com . The organizers will arrange the transport from and to the Airport for the journalists, and provide them with interesting prices for their accommodation. 

    The registration fee for the foreign journalists (covering their accreditation and transportation costs) is Eur 60. 

    The holders of the FIDE Journalists card will benefit from a special registration fee of Eur 40.
