87th FIDE Congress
The 87th FIDE Congress will be held in the Fairmont Hotel in Baku.
The Congress arrival day is September 4th, and the Departure day is September 14th.
The Congress meetings are held between September 5th and 13th, with the General Assembly on September 11th, 12th and 13th.
Registration and Accreditation
All Congress participants (Delegates, Commission Chairpersons, Secretaries and members) must register through the Olympiad's official registration system, to the event “Congress meetings”
The Congress participants, except the FIDE Presidential Board and officials by FIDE should pay the registration fee of 100 Eur to BCOOC.
The Congress participants will be able to obtain their accreditations in the Accreditation Center located in the Fairmont Hotel upon arrival. If the Congress participants will have any problems with their accreditation, then they may address the Congress Accreditation Center in the Fairmont Hotel as well.
Accommodation
Except if they demand to the organizers to be accommodated in a different Hotel, the Congress participants will be accommodated in the Fairmont Hotel. The accommodation in the same hotel as the national team is possible, but the transport to and from the Congress venue won’t be provided by the Organizers. Congress delegates will nevertheless have the possibility of using Baku cabs at an advantageous fee.
The Organizers offer the Congress delegates free accommodation in single rooms, with a full board, from September 4th to 14th. If a delegate wishes to arrive earlier or leave later, he should cover the extra nights cost. The other Congress participants should pay for their accommodation by themselves according to the rates indicated in the section “Accommodation”.
A double occupancy of a free room given to a delegate is possible with a supplement covered by the delegate in case a delegate wishes an accompanying person to share his room.
Please note that for delegates who register for the Congress for particular dates, and then change their participation dates without informing the organizers the accommodation won’t be guaranteed and they will be fined a no-show penalty equal to one night hotel price.
Visiting the Games
A shuttle bus will be scheduled three times per day to take the Congress participants to Crystal Hall. The schedule will be available in the Fairmont Hotel, as well as on the website, please consult it.
