Interview with Bakri Alia, Team Malaysia

Shortly before the start of the round, Susan Polgar had the chance to chat with a couple of players who came to Baku from far away!

Bakri Alia is the top board of Malaysia’s women’s team. Is this your first Olympiad? How is it going so far?

No, this is my third Olympiad. My first was in Khanty-Mansiysk (2012), then I played in Tromso (2014) and now I am here. So far it’s going OK, quite nice. I have 2 points out of 3 games.

How is it going so far here? How do you like the city of Baku and the Olympiad venue, compared to your previous two experiences?

I like this city, the weather is nice, and everything is OK. I like Baku very much!
